Only 1% of 16.8 Million Illegal Aliens are Monitored or Detained by Feds

About 99 percent of illegal aliens in the United States are not in detention facilities or even being monitored by the federal government, data compiled by NICE unveils.

While almost 17 million illegal aliens live in the U.S. today, less than 230,000 are being tracked by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Of those illegal aliens monitored, only 41,500 are in federal detention while the other 184,000 are enrolled in the Intensive Supervision Appearance Program (ISAP).

Meanwhile, more than 7 million illegals are now on ICE’s non-detained docket and another nearly 10 million are either got-aways, visa overstays, or unknown to the federal government.
